A high percentage of college students share college rooms. College rooms are small and difficult to organize because most college students dorm with one or two other students. Impri Book, is a 8.5” x 11” home/
office printer . The goal of this project is to design a printer iside-out,
exposing and incorporating the mechanical components into the design. Exposing the components will enhance the user experience and help the user understand how the product works. The user will be able to store the printer in their book shelf, on top of the books, in a drawer or next to their laptop. Easy to maintain because the components are exposed and the user can easily change an ink cartridge, remove jammed papers, and troubleshoot any problem. This design is compact and modular because it’s reduced in size. Portable and light weight which allows the user to easily fit the printer in their backpacks.
